CRËO, short for creosote, is a plant native to the desert that everyone knows as the desert rain smell. It is a scent that brings childhood memories and evokes a sense of rejuvenation. It is a resilient plant that thrives in the dry desert heat. Sol, Spanish for sun, is the very source of light and life.
CRËOsol is for the traveler, the staycationer, skin conscious, and the minimalist between the ages of mid 25-75. They love a conscious, luxurious and functional piece that not enhances their wardrobe, but clothes them in comfortable, breathable fabric, protects them from the sun’s harshness and is timeless.

Karen Beach
I started my journey as a young hispanic girl in love with fashion and beauty thanks to my fashionista family members. I continued my love through hair, makeup and styling for friends and theater between middle school and high school. I then pursued a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. I loved creating stories through visual merchandising and helping others find experiential joy.
CRËOsol is an idea that came to me while walking in the blazing Scottsdale heat of 119 degrees in the summer of 2019. I searched for clothing that was everyday UPF wear that wasn’t utilitarian or synthetic. To my dismay, I had a very hard time finding anything that wasn’t. Being in the Arizona heat and a woman in my 30’s with constantly shifting hormones, everything seemed uncomfortable and not breathable with unappealing designs or patterns. Though an Arizona native, my skin has always been very sensitive to the heat that couldn’t get acclimated. This is when I created CRËOsol with designs for a natural textile and silhouettes for a much more luxurious and comfortable line of clothing, ultimately reigniting and integrating my love for textiles, design and photography.
